January has been nice so far. We had some rain after the big December storms and I’ve been surfing a few times per week. I’ve also been working on night lapse star trails and trying to capture meteor showers when the sky is clear with my GoPro.
In October 2019, we went to Morocco. We were able to spend three weeks in this wonderful country.
As we researched itineraries and options we came across a few surprises that left lasting impressions on us. We had selected Rabat as a starting point based on others recommendations.
I retired from the University of California Santa Cruz in 2018 after 30 years in information technology. In that capacity, I worked on and with a variety of technologies, platforms, open source and proprietary software and hardware in addition to leading teams, providing executive consultation, physical security systems and project management.
In late March, we drove out to Las Vegas for the dog show in Henderson. On our outbound drive, we got stuck for 4 hours in a traffic jam between Barstow and Baker where a big rig had overturned. The truck had to be unloaded and it was literally the middle of nowhere at night...
Leo did well in this competition winning a point and competing in the groups.
Lynda and Leo attended the IABCA dog show in late January. We stayed at The Astro; a funky little motel in Santa Rosa. We had some great meals at the Spinster Sisters.
