In January 2020, we went to the NFL playoff at Levi Stadium. The 49ers were playing the Green Bay Packers and we had seats up front on the 50 yard line. We’d never been to an NFL game and we had a blast watching people, the game and the half time show. We had jets overhead, brass bands, cheerleaders, good snacks and a lot of entertainment.

On or about August 16, 2010 on a warm evening two cats were sleeping when one decided to tangle with the other.

Just after dark, James Dean started to chase Steve McQueen through the living room. Steve launched himself from the floor into the bay window and broke through. That resulted in a trip to the vet for some stitches.

Here are a couple of shots of these two from 2010-2011

I retired from the University of California Santa Cruz in 2018 after 30 years in information technology. In that capacity, I worked on and with a variety of technologies, platforms, open source and proprietary software and hardware in addition to leading teams, providing executive consultation, physical security systems and project management.

I recently came across some very old photos of wheat harvesting near Shandon 1895-1904 time period. I'm pretty sure these were in Aunt Tootsie's storage. One has Phillip's stamp on the back.

Lynda and Leo went down to Carmel to drink some coffee and watch the Poodle Day Parade. If you didn't know, Carmel is a hot spot for poodles. Here’s a few shots of the scene.

So, we've got a new Junior Guard. I was one back in the early 70's. Brad was one in the 1980's. Now we've got a new one. It's a huge program with at least 60 9 year olds. They don't do pillow fights anymore but I see lots of good discipline and it gets used on me when we play games... e.g., "ok, I'm the captain and Lynda is the LT and you drop and give me 10".

We helped out with homework this year on Wednesdays. We picked the kids up from their half day, brought them back and worked on reading, math, bike riding, scooters, skateboards, tree climbing, baseball, etc. Here's a few shots.

When not in individualized study, we go outside.
